VIDEO: 2010 Opel Meriva MPV
The all-new Opel Meriva MPV was filmed inside, outside and on the public road. The practical five-seater 2010 model with suicide rear doors will be offered with six turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines, spanning from 75HP to 140HP.

Promo video: Insignia 4×4 vs. Ascona 400 Rally Car
The 2.4-liter Opel Ascona 400 Rally Car is pitched against the new Opel’s Insignia 4×4 in a race on ice. Behind the steering wheel of the Ascona 400 is rally legend Christian Geistdörfer while the modern-day Insignia is driven by racing talent Sina Winkelhock, daughter of Jockel Winkelhock.
The Insignia is now offered with an Adaptive 4×4 system as an option on the 220HP 2.0-liter and standard on the 2.8 V6 Turbo and OPC models.
2010 Opel Meriva

The GM’s UK arm Vauxhall, and Opel in continental Europe, has unveiled the all-new Meriva mini-MPV. The new Opel Meriva mini-MPV is the first Opel to feature GM’s FlexDoor technology, showcased on the 2008 Meriva concept model.
And by FlexDoors we mean the rear-hinged back doors that swing open towards the back of the car at an angle of nearly 90 degree. Even though the Meriva still uses a central B-pillar, the company said that the Flexdoors “vastly improve the ease with which occupants enter and leave the cabin”.
The interesting fact that, unlike other suicide-door cars like a Mazda RX-8 and Rolls Royce Phantom and Ghost, the Meriva’s front and rear doors can open independently.

2010 Opel Astra

GM’ british arm Vauxhall is celebrating the retail launch of the all-new 2010 Vauxhall Astra. The first customers today received the keys to their cars.
In Great Britain, the new Astra hatchback is available with five petrol engines ranging from an 87 h.p. 1.4-litre to a 1.6-litre turbocharged unit, while diesels span from 1.7 CDTi to 2.0 CDTi form. Prices will start from £15,675.
The Vauxhall said that British plant will build the new Astra for all European markets.

Police Astra

British Vauxhall sold more than 900 police Astras in the UK last year. Police departments throughout the UK will be able choose from three ‘high visibility’ livery options -half, three-quarter or full. The police-spec Astras are equipped with LED lightbars that available in three different widths, while all PTT (Push-to-talk) 999 and at-scene functions have been incorporated into the steering wheel.
The police Astra can be ordered with all communication equipment already installed along with a large 8.4-inch mobile data terminal screen incorporated into the dashboard.
2010 Opel Astra Irmscher

Hot news for Astra fans! German tuning team Irmscher developed a sporty styling package for the new Astra hatch. The photos reveal that the initial kit includes a front spoiler lip, side skirts, a new front grille and a rear apron that makes room for four tailpipes.

Opel / Vauxhall Insignia OPC / VXR

Good news for Insignia’s fans: the high-performance variant of the Opel /Vauxhall Insignia will make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in Britain that runs from July 3-5. The 325HP Insignia OPC (also known as VXR on the Britain market), the rear-wheel-drive, 6.2-litre supercharged V8 engined VXR8 Bathurst S Edition 560HP that will be performing a ‘Smoke Gets in Your Eyes’ display in front of the Goodwood House.
2010 Opel Astra Interior

Opel has unveiled the first interior photos of the all-new Astra, which will make its premier at upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The sixth generation Astra will arrive to European showrooms by late this year.
Just as expected, the 2010 Astra’s interior is a fresh interpretation of the Insignia’s design. Highlights include the recurring wing and blade motifs, the wraparound instrument panel with deep set gauges and the ambient lighting that provides illumination from above the centre console and within the door handle recesses.

Opel Insignia OPC Sports Tourer

Look at the first official photos of the estate version of Opel Insignia OPC. The Opel Insignia OPC station wagon, a.k.a. Sports Tourer, shares the same mechanical underpinnings with the four-door sedan. It comes with a four-wheel drive chassis mated to a 2.8-liter V6 equipped with a twin-scroll turbo cranking out 325 horsepower and 400Nm or 295-lbs/ft of torque.
Insignia OPC Sports Tourer give a zero to 60mpg (96km/h) sprint time of 6.0 seconds, or 0.2 seconds slower than the OPC sedan, the estates top speed is electronically governed at 250km/h or 155mph.

Corsa ecoFLEX

The new Vauxhall Corsa ecoFLEX arrived to UK showrooms. It’s a most economical production car in the Opel’s history. The new 3-door Corsa ecoFLEX equipped with 1.3-liter CDTi diesel producing 75HP, a shorter second-gear ratio and enhanced aerodynamics by lowering the Corsa’s ride height by 20 millimetres and optimising airflow through its front air intakes. Furthermore, the frugal supermini is equipped with narrower low-rolling resistance tyres (175/70 instead of 185/70), fitted to lighter 14-inch steel wheels with new wheel trims that are part of a weight-saving package that cuts the Corsa ecoFLEX’s kerbweight by 45kg or 100 pounds.
The Corsa ecoFLEX is available in Life and Club trims with prices starting at £11,295 (US$17,270), while buyers can also use the joint Vauxhall/Government ’scrappage’ incentive to obtain a £2,000 discount.
